Alumil S85. Refined casement design
The S85 is a newly developed system within the Alumil range, and ADW is among the first fabricators in the UK to manufacture it. Alumil S85 is an outward-opening casement window designed from the ground up to deliver two things standard aluminium casements rarely achieve together. Genuinely slim sightlines and flush design inside and out.
Advanced thermal engineering is integrated into the profile design, with additional insulation to achieve excellent U-Values and thermal performance. Sealed tight throughout high high specification multipoint hardware and contemporary handles. Aumil S85 meets and exceeds UK Building Regulations now and for the future.
Balanced proportions across fixed and opening sections
Expert design has created a window with face sightlints of just 68mm with an opening sash, making these the slimmest flush casement windows in the UK. Fixed lights combined with fixed panels, are balanced and symmetrical. S85 also allows the creation of substantial picture windows and floor to ceiling glazing.
Outward-opening operation suits contemporary architecture directly and offers practical advantages: ease of external cleaning, full internal window board depth and compatibility with internal blinds or shutters. Side-hung, top-hung and bottom-hung configurations are available as appropriate for each opening.
Security and weather protection
Alumil S85 casement windows come with premium multi-point locking systems as standard, with a choice of locking handles. We can also upgrade your windows with laminated glass or the full PAS24 specification. providing reliable resistance to forced entry for both residential and commercial applications.
Weather protection is managed through multiple EPDM seals and tested corner joints. The sealing compression when windows are closed creates effective barriers against wind-driven rain and air infiltration — proven in UK conditions through testing, not assumption.
Personalisation Options
S85 is finished using the trusted Qualicoat powder coating process. We can also personalise your windows with anodised, metallic, textured or wood effect coatings.
Double or triple glazing is available alongside acoustic glass, solar control glass or integral glass blinds.
