SMARTIA M630 PHOS – balanced minimal design
The M630 PHOS is part of the Alumil SMARTIA range, manufactured and installed by ADW for contemporary homes where clean lines and generous glazing are design priorities.
What sets it apart is straightforward. Designed for new openings only, the outer frame can be built into the surrounding floor, walls and ceiling so that only the slim interlock is visible when the doors are closed. It is minimal appearance achieved through proper construction, not surface-level styling.
Pocket doors, corner solutions and multi-panel layouts
M630 PHOS is available in a range of configurations beyond the standard inline slider. Pocket doors slide fully into wall cavities, creating completely open transitions when needed. Corner solutions allow panels to meet at 90 degrees, with doors or fixed glass-to-glass-corners. Multi-panel layouts address wider openings with the same minimal appearance throughout.
Integrated retractable flyscreens are available, concealing when not in use so the minimal aesthetic is never compromised by a fixed screen frame.
Thermal and acoustic performance
M630 PHOS delivers reliable thermal performance through polyamide thermal breaks, insulated chambers and appropriate glazing specifications. The system suits modern homes with standard energy requirements and typical UK exposure levels. Triple glazing can be specified where improved thermal or acoustic performance is needed, though this increases panel weight and should be discussed during planning to ensure it remains within the system’s capacity.
Acoustic performance follows directly from the insulation and sealing measures — meaningful sound reduction for urban locations when specified with laminated glazing.
Personalisation Options
M630 PHOS is finished using powder coating, anodising or dual-colour options where internal and external colours differ. A broad palette is available including standard RAL colours, metallic finishes and wood-effect treatments. Low threshold options are available with drainage managed through concealed channels, maintaining weather protection without raised external sills.
Glass specifications are selected based on energy requirements, security needs and budget. Toughened, laminated, low-iron, solar control and obscured glass are all available where appropriate to the project.
