Integral glass blinds – complete control

Available in both double and triple-glazed units, these stylish all-glass blinds come with total control. Manually operated blinds come with a magnet on each side, one controlling the raising and lowering, the other the direction of the slat. Automatic blinds come with electric operation, either hard-wired or with remote control. There is even a model with sensors on the glass, lowering the blinds as soon as the sun comes round and meets the doors.

In a variety of sizes, and glass options and always using quality safety glass in doors or low-level windows, integral blinds can even make your glass units and doors more thermally efficient than standard glass.

Security and Energy efficiency

Integral blinds work within the overall glass element of your new doors and windows. As standard, we provide toughened safety glass, having a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill. Strong and resilient units with built-in blinds.

For energy efficiency, integral blinds work within the overall specification of the glass, and we can calculate U-Values to ensure your new doors and windows meet current Building Regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are integral blinds worth it?

Integral glass blinds are one of the best accessories for your new doors and windows because they provide the privacy and shading you require without needing after-market curtains or blinds. Even better, they let you enjoy the sleek and appealing styling of your new glazing, even at night, whilst preventing anyone from looking inside your home. And they come in a wide range of colours, both for the slats and the surrounding frame.

How long do integral blinds last?

These blinds are all made by professional and expert glass manufacturers and come with a quality guarantee of at least five years. However, operated correctly, integral blinds should last as long as your doors and windows.

Can integral blinds be fitted in existing windows?

Assuming your existing windows have at least 24mm thick double-glazed units and are of a design that makes them easy to remove and replace the glass, there is no reason why, in many cases, you can’t upgrade your existing glass to integral blinds.

Do blinds in glass get dirty?

No. Integral blinds, or blinds in glass, are hermetically sealed in the glass unit. As a result, they never need cleaning, won’t ever gather dust and, even better, don’t blow in the wind. All you need to do is clean your glass as normal.

What types of integral blinds are available?

You can choose from manually operated, electric blinds hard-wired, remote control blinds and even models with solar sensors, closing as the sun reaches the doors. Even better you can connect integral blinds to the latest home automation systems.
