Alumil MF65 Bifold Door – Just 88mm sightlines
The MF65 Bifold Door is used internationally and the UK’s slimmest folding sliding door at the panel junctions. Built around a 65mm sash depth, the MF65 delivers the narrowest meeting sightlines giving you more glass and less visible frame.
Despite its slim proportions, MF65 includes polyamide thermal breaks and insulated chambers delivering U-values in the region of 1.1–1.3 W/m²K. This thermal performance meets and exceeds UK Building Regulations
Panel sizes and configurations
MF65 Bifold Door supports panel sizes up to approximately 1.3 metres wide and 3.0 metres high, covering the full range of typical residential extensions and garden openings. Panels can be configured to fold inward or outward, stack to one side or split in both directions, with a traffic door option for everyday access without operating the full set.
Bottom-running heavy-duty roller gear operates on stainless steel tracks with integrated drainage. This is the hardware that matters in daily use. Even better, we can create matching single and double doors, again the slimmest on the market and matching your bifolds, right down to the hinges and hardware.
Security and weather performance
Security is built in through multi-point locking on the main door leaf, quadruple latching on intermediate panels and integrated anti-lift mechanisms. These are not entry-level components — they are hardware choices designed for long-term operation and consistent performance in real conditions.
Weather protection is managed through multiple EPDM seals and concealed drainage within the track. These doors are designed to handle exposed UK conditions with wind-driven rain and temperature variation, not relying on a perfect installation to compensate for inadequate design. Alumil MF65 are certified to PAS 24 and suit new builds and replacement applications.
Personalisation Options
The MF65 Bifold Door is available with the full range of powder coated colours. We can also offer dual colour, metallic finishes, textured powder coatings or wood-effects.
Double glazing is standard; triple glazing can be specified where improved thermal or acoustic performance is required. Low threshold options are available, with drainage managed through concealed channels to maintain weather protection while minimising internal level changes.
