Reynaers bifold doors offer homeowners all the benefits of a bifolding door, such as connecting indoors and outdoors, excellent security and energy efficiency. However, when comparing Reynaers’ two different models – the CF77 and the CF68 – there are some key differences. In this guide to helping you choose the right bifolding door for your home, we explain which Reynaers bifold is best for your particular property project.
An introduction to Reynaers Bifold Doors.
Part of our extensive range of the best aluminium systems is Reynaers. The company has been designing premium doors and windows for over fifty years, and all Reynaers products are designed with practicality, beautiful aesthetics, security and excellent thermal insulation.
Whether you choose the CF68 or the CF77, both Reynaers bifold doors give you the benefits of a bifold. Closed they provide stylish new patio doors, open, they connect your room to your patio area, garden and let you enjoy your views.
Above all, every Reynaers sliding folding door uses high-quality aluminium profiles, beautiful yet durable and low-maintenance colour finishes and tested to provide long-term reliability and enjoyment in use. They are some of the best bifolds you can have in your home.
Reynaers CF68 bifold doors explained.
Reynaers CF68 is a fantastic option for openings that have a more standard size and you would like your Reynaers doors to have slimmer overall styling and sightlines.
The frame depth of the bifold is 68mm, making the doors look slimmer side on. With the closed doors, the connected intermediate panels have a mullion sightline of 131mm – the ideal blend of modern and classically styled.
Because the CF68 model in the Reynaers bifold doors range is designed for standard-size new or existing openings, door panels can go up to 1000mm wide and 2500mm high. As a result, this door suits most of your requirements, whilst still giving you large glass panels, making more of the glass.
And with U-Values of around 1.1Wm2K with the correct glass specification, Reynaers CF68 is also a very energy efficient bifold, helping save money on your energy bills.
Reynaers CF77 bifold doors explained.
The Reynaers CF77 is the more flexible product in the Reynaers bifold doors range and is designed to meet more design requirements.
First of all, it comes with two mullion sightline options with the door panels closed. The standard CF77 offers a slightly thicker 144mm sightline compared with the CF68. However, there is the CF77-SL which offers a slimmer 121mm sightline.
Even better, the CF77 comes designed las larger door sets with up to eight panels. The door panels themselves go up to 1200mm wide and up to 3000mm high. You also get a fixed or open-corner design, and CF77 comes with thicker glass options, up to 63mm thick, for the highest specification triple glass units.
The benefits you get with both Reynaers CF68 and Reynaers CF77.
Whether you choose the slimmer CF77, capable of larger sizes or the CF68 designed for most standard property renovation projects, both of these outstanding Reynaers bifold doors give you some great features.
Excellent home security
Both door models come tested to the latest security standards, with premium locks, excellent handles and fantastic designs for peace of mind security. Reynaers doors and windows are tested to the latest security requirements, and the company is registered with the well-known Secured by Design scheme.
The convenient traffic door
We can design your new bifold doors with a traffic door. Perfect for everyday access, a traffic door allows you to use just one panel for entry and exit without having to fold all the panels back. This is a great feature for using your Reynaers bifold doors, similar to our residential doors range, just like a regular patio door.
Four threshold options
The best feature of Reynaers doors is that they come with four track and threshold options. This makes them one of the most flexible, meeting your needs as internal doors, external bifolds and, of course, giving you the desirable lower-set threshold, looking better at the bottom of your doors and providing a seamless transition outside, with a reduced step.
Reynaers bifold doors – a summary of these two fantastic products for your home
When you need larger panel sizes, have a larger bifold aperture and want a choice of mullion sightlines and thicker glass units, choose Reynaers CF77. For standard new door openings or replacing your dated patio doors, the highly versatile CF68 is the ideal choice.
